The script for "2084" has been created with assistance from the Canada Council for the Arts. "2084" is inspired by George Orwell's classic work "Nineteen Eighty-Four." However in this case Orwell's vision of 1984 has been turned upside down. There is no Big Brother watching you. The party never triumphed. There is only complete anarchy. No one is watching you. It is "I, Me, Mine" in every instance. Ominously, the only pronouns remaining in common speech are "I" and "It."
